TBLCO is committed to the continuing scientific research and education about cannabis and its future applications. While there exists preliminary findings on the benefits of THC, CBD and other natural cannabis extracts, we understand that there is a need for more research and regulation for the well being of the community.
Our products are developed by hand and personally tested by ourselves and our team. We use organic, third party lab tested, full spectrum hemp oil provided by Nuleaf Naturals, and combine it with natural plant extracts and therapeutic ingredients to create convenient versatile products to introduce cannabis into our everyday routine. While our formulations may not be suitable for every skin type, we aim to make products for our community at large. (Not seeing a product for you? A Note About Active Cannabinoids:
THC vs. CBD
Tetrahydrocannabinol, or better known as THC, is the psychoactive element the cannabis plant. THC-A is converted to THC through decarboxylation, which is accomplished though heating the cannabis flower.
Cannabidiol, more commonly abbreviated, CBD, is another compound found in the cannabis. It is found in small quantities in most medicinal strains of cannabis, as well as industrial hemp, which contains no THC. Thought to have a variety of health benefits, including pain relief by bonding with CB1 receptors and anti-inflammatory properties, CBD is also non pyschoactive, compared to THC. CBD appears to work best when used in combination with other naturally occurring cannabinoids, acting as the architect to redefine the receptors of the body’s Endocannabinoid system, and changing the way those cannabinoids interact with them. While there is a wealth of anecdotal information about the benefits of cannabinoids, and specifically CBD, there remains a need for more scientific research. When considering introducing CBD products it’s important to research whether the product has third party testing data, to ensure quality and safety.
All TBLCO Cannabidiol (CBD) infused products are made with organic, full spectrum hemp oil, provided by NuLeaf Naturals. Grown and processed in Colorado, this full spectrum hemp oil boasts over 130 active cannabinoids, and is third party tested for quality and consistency. Full Spectrum vs. Broad Spectrum or CBD Isolate
When considering using cannabinoid infused products, there are many tiers to available types of infusion. Full spectrum refers to products or extract that contains all naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes, including up to 0.03% THC (the legal limit occurring in most cannabis sativa or hemp plants, according to the 2018 US Farm Bill). Though concentrations are extremely low and non-psychoactive, continued use of full spectrum oil products could produce a positive result for THC on a standard drug test. Broad spectrum oils refer to oils containing natural terpenes and cannabinoids including CBD but do not contain THC. CBD isolate is usually a 99.9% pure extraction most commonly available in powder form and easily dissolved into carrier oils for topical or internal use.
The aroma of some of your favorite plants may very well come from their terpenes. Terpenes are naturally occurring substances similar to an essential oil that can be extracted from the plant. They are fragrant volatile oils that evaporate easily and lend themselves to the sensations and aromas you experience whether smoking cannabis, or smelling lavender. There are 14 types of terpenes recorded from cannabis plants, many with their own medicinal and holistic benefits. For more information on cannabis terpenes visit medicaljane.com.
